The African American Heritage Museum & Black Veterans Archives

The Museum was founded by Dr. Charles Smith. The AAHM is located in a modest to low-income area of Aurora townships. When Dr. Smith purchased the small home,in 1985. Dr. Smith transformed the house over the next 15 years into a powerful presentation of sculptures that blends the house and landscapes into a powerful history lesson. Dr. Smith did not start out to make a museum - His art and inspiration just kept the project growing until it became what it is today!
